The Foundation Raises Funds to Support 3 Programs:

COMMUNITY CREATES

In partnership with the Houston Public Library, Sickle Cell Research Support Foundation will host “art spaces” led by professional artists and musicians where children and adults from the community come to create art and music as a form of self care, self expression and wellbeing.

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS

Experts in holistic care, the medical community and professional artists and musicians will share their knowledge, views and vision on the intersection of lived experiences and traditional medicine and how the combination can improve health and wellbeing for children and adults.

LIVED EXPERIENCES RESEARCH

The foundation will partner with the medical community and universities to research and expand current knowledge and understanding of how listening, performing, or creating art and music stimulate circuitry in the brain that reduces pain and improves wellbeing.

Your Support Creates Healing
